On his favorite tag team partner: ”(With) Alex Riley, I was more of a mentor to him just like I was with Daniel Bryan. He’s doing fantastic right now, by the way, and I’ll take all the credit for that. The Big Show, John Morrison…Who was the best tag team partner? I mean, they were all such a different dynamic.

“But, the person that I think really started my whole career and really started elevating me to being someone in the WWE was John Morrison. We just had that chemistry. We had a show on WWE.com called “The Dirt Sheet”, we were multiple time champions. We were together for a year and a half, all the other tag teams I’ve had didn’t last that long. So, I’d have to say that just because of the time and the chemistry.”

In 2007, two of WWE’s rising stars, John Morrison and The Miz, were paired together to battle MVP and Matt Hardy for the WWE Tag Team Championships on SmackDown. The duo won the titles and took them back to their brand, ECW. The duo successfully defended the titles on numerous occasions against challengers from both ECW and SmackDown. Morrison & Miz also used the Internet to trash talk their opponents with their WWE.com show, “The Dirt Sheet.”

Morrison & Miz revolutionized the way the Internet is used in sports-entertainment and backed up their brashness with success inside the squared circle. In 2008, the pair won the Slammy Awards for Tag Team of the Year and Best WWE.com exclusive before capturing the World Tag Team Titles. Although Morrison & Miz eventually split up, they still can be credited for bringing tag team competition into a new age. — K.P.

Confession: The first thing I do every time I get a WWE game is put Miz and Morrison back together. Interestingly, they always become the immediate #1 contenders. It doesn’t happen with every team either. I tried it with Priceless and they came in ranked #7. Conclusion? Even the video games know what an amazing duo they are.
